This thread and the CF are quite interesting to me. I hope to see this topic discussed in english if possible. Sadly I don't speak french, and babel fish does a poor job of translating.

Belboz is right, everybody please ask your questions in english, for everybody can read and understand them.

If anybody got questions about the JagCF, don't hesitate, SCPCD can give you all explanations you want ;)

It is, even though it's not up to date. There you go.

You have to know that english and french forums have merged recently, so try a search next time.

Don't worry, I won't be coming back here anymore with attitudes like that

This thread and the CF are quite interesting to me. I hope to see this topic discussed in english if possible. Sadly I don't speak french, and babel fish does a poor job of translating.

little abstract for no french people :

After developing the JagCF v1 on June/Jully, and with it is not very well possibilities (only 200KBytes/s) we decide on August to work on the new JagCF : the JagCF v2.

The JagCF v2 has a hardware completly different : it uses new technologies and it was develop with the purpose of give, not only a very big capacities of storage, but also a very high speed and many features for future JagCF games.

That's why the JagCF v2 has 8MBytes of SDRAM, 512KBytes of boot ROM, optimised CF controller (with data rate up to 20MBytes/s) and others features.

This is the list of what is currently operating :

- communication between the Jag and the JagCF (but have little bugs)

- I2S (for audio streaming)

- 2x 32-bit Timers

- Interruptions controller

- PS/2 Mouse interface

- PS/2 Keyboard interface

- UART (to give very various communication possibilities : high-speed data rate CatNip)

- SDRAM

- CF controller in read with write to the internal 2KBytes FPGA RAM.

Actually, I work on the resolve of the Jag <-> JagCF communication bugs because before I haven't the real timing of the Jaguar port but now I know exactly how it works :) and I work also on the special and last feature of the JagCF before the first production in (I hope :) ) 3-4 mounths.

Which attitude ? I had no said "attitude", it was a simple, flat answer to the question why it wasn't discussed in an english topic. Forums have merged recently, it's a mess, try a search, point, end...

And because i didn't put smileys in a post doesn't mean i'm trying to insult, or hurt anyone. As i know, do not having smileys just undermeans neutral/no attitude.

Don't worry, I won't be coming back here anymore with attitudes like that

Well the thread you linked to hasn't had a new post since February.

This thread seems to be the active one. I joined here after the announcement of going English.

I saw two new posts in here since that announcement and my joining, one by one of the main guys working on the CF adaptor. So I was hoping for new information, sadly it was in French. So I posted my message.

So excuse me for hoping to see what he had to say in english.

So your comment did nothing to help me, it was pointless. Point, end.

I will just look for your jagware announcements on AA and JS II. I have no time for a site with an admin with an attitude like you.

This is my last post on here.

Please delete my account.....

Well, I guess the information of last february was still something before SPCD posted in english :P Raz was sorry that no english information was available. He tried to help and explain why.

Here is a quick translation of the 2 new posts in french.

Hello, I am new here

Is the Jag CF available ?

I didn't understand how it will work

salutations

Welcome :)

The JagCF is not yet available, but should be sooner ;)

In fact, the jagCF is a cartridge which will be plugged into Jag cartridge port (or JagCD cartridge port)

This cartridge will have extra RAM in order to increase transfer rate from CF, 2 PS2 interfaces (keyboard & mouse), a highspeed serail port (for networking, and high-speed connection with a PC in order to ease Jag development), it will be able to stream audio drom CF (like in CD audio)

Hope this can help...

SCPCD gave more information in his latest post...
