Is this not what you're looking for ? : Or do you have something different in mind ?

I've noticed that every time my computer's IP address changes, I have to log in again with my username and password. On other Invision-based forums (such as AtariAge), I don't have to do this (as long as I don't delete the forum cookies, of course). Is it a deliberate choice ? Can this be changed ?

Very cool ! I've always wanted to try homebrews on Virtual Jaguar. Thanks Orion_

[offtopic] Hi swapd0, nice to see you back ! [/offtopic]

That's funny, a few days ago I was just wondering what had happened to you Working on coding tools is an excellent idea, I think there are many potential coders on the Jaguar that give up because of the current state of these... And I love the idea of a signal processing library on the Jag Good luck with your projects and keep in touch !

Here's a video showing demos of the JagCF and Jag Jag Revolution (it's basically what has been shown at the A.C. 2007 meeting, but with new editing and direct video capture). This video was meant to be shown at the JagFest UK 2007, but since that event has been postponed, we've decided to release it instead. The background music in the first part is "Flash" by Andre Meyer (from the Tempest 3000 soundtrack). The music used in JJR is "Bumblebee" from Dance Dance Revolution. The background picture is from FTW design.

Since a few people have asked me about it, here are some clarifications about this video. This is a direct recording of the video output from a JagCF-fitted Jaguar (no cheating ). The editing has been limited to stitching the different sequences together, and adding a background music for the first four parts. The menu is a mini-explorer which shows the files the Compact Flash card contains. It allows you to launch games, display pictures and play videos. Here are the different parts, chronologically : 1) Launching Jungle Jag, a homebrew game by Orion_ 2) Displaying several 640x480 RGB16 pictures 3) Launching Native, a homebrew game by Duranik 4) Playing a 320x240 RGB16 video (uncompressed) at about 12 fps 5) Demonstrating a preversion of Jag Jag Revolution, a homebrew game by myself (Zerosquare)

Exlcusive Download: Atari Jaguar Development Manual
Zerosquare replied to Starcat's topic in Development
That's great ! AFAIK it was no longer available for download anywhere, so that'll be a great help for new Jag developers -
OK, OK, I'll switch to the English version if it fixes the problem

File uploading, messenger and profiles still have missing text :

I think Orion_ has used Project Tempest 0.95 extensively to develop his games, so this is doable. But the emulation is far from prefect (some things that work on the real hardware don't work with PT, and vice-versa), so it's still necessary to test your work on a real Jaguar regularly.

Since today, I have display problems on this forum (using Firefox 2.0.0.3) :

Thanks Starcat ! We did not really have a banner for links, so I made up one

The first 20 copies of the JagCF will be reserved for developers ; they will be released earlier than those intended for the public. However, the hardware, documentation and tools will be the same for both releases (except if problems are discovered in the first release) ; all JagCFs will be usable for developement. I'll let SCPCD answer the other questions.

Don't forget the multiplayer network support It's actually intended for PS1 devices. PS2 devices may or may not work, I've not studied this extensively. I had to put this project on hold temporarily for personal reasons, but it's not cancelled. Thanks The basic features of the filesystem (open(), seek(), read(), write()...) are done, and they were used extensively in the demo. The DSP is a custom core designed by SCPCD, using ideas from several sources (the Jag's GPU, Motorola 56K, Intel's MMX instruction set...). Unlike GT Turbo, I think it's reasonable to expect a C compiler for it, we just need someone to write one
