  1. Hey folks!

As the Jagware team seems to be the most active group (and actually only real group) to do Jaguar games these days, maybe you can help me.

I am also looking for a skilled mod musician to create music for a cartoony looking Jaguar game.

Please let me know if you can help. I am really desperately looking for a musician.

    Also a more technical question:

What are you using as sound player in your projects, guys? And who do you have to create music?

Personally I have no music creation experience at all.

I was thinking about using the sinister mod player, which worked fine in the past.

    Any help is highly appreciated.

    Regards, Lars.

    Hi Lars,

Scrat perhaps can help you, he is a great mod musician, he is a great specialist in little mod (less than 30 Kbytes !!). For the player i think the SebRmv's one is the best choice, i think in his C library you can find what you need else get in touch with him.

  2. Last week end, we (Some members of Jagware) were present at the Retro Gaming Connexion Party. A very nice week end like always, but this time, Fadest (Yastuna author (Lynx games)) has decided to port Warlord on Jaguar, during this time i have ported it on ST and Orion started to port the same game on Playstation !! Yes the same game on three differents machines during this week end, my ST Port was not as advanced as the Fadest one (Jaguar, you can found it here : http://www.jagware.org/index.php?showtopic=619 ).

A nice week end, very happy to see some friends and trying a lot of machines, i hope some members will post photos (Zerosquare perhaps ? ;) ), some nice laughings too !!

  3. This week end the Retro Gaming Connexion party has took place near Paris, tomorrow i will write some infos about this party (I'm too much tired now !!), the important thing for the Jaguar was the work done by Fadest on a game for the 64 bit machine !!!

  4. Thanks GT. I have my own forums for my private work. ;)

    ;)

Fadest, I was a licensed Lynx developer in '95, I eventually sold my manual off to people on the net, and these days I wish I'd kept it. I never got a project off the ground due to financing, but it was a lovely little machine and I spent a lot of time in the reference manual. :) None of your information, ideas, routines, etc, is visible here, though.

Some great routines can be found in public forum, example how to rotate graphics with the blitter by SebRmv : http://www.jagware.org/index.php?showtopic=258&hl=

How to draw line with the blitter by Azrael : http://www.jagware.org/index.php?showtopic=261

Yes i know some old posts are in french, that's not very easy for foreigner people, but be sure, if you want help on some subjects just ask, there is a lot of people here who can help you, we are for sharing all infos we've got that's the goal.

  5. Hi Tursi,

I understand your feelings about Jagware, Zerosquare has given some explanations about that.

Some people here are not Jaguar fans, but Atari fans, that means they work on some computers software too, personnaly i work on some ST/Falcon projects, i belong to the 'Cerebral Vortex Software Development' team ( http://cerebral-vortex.net/ ) and all free time can't be done to the Jaguar development. I'm working on a map editor, my biggest software (more than 27000 lines of 68000 assembler) that need a lot of free time and it must be finished for working on some Jaguar stuffs.

Some forums are private for letting development team working without any pressure, working like they want, we have seen too much developpers wasting more time to giving answers to people asking 'When it must be finished ?' than working on, that's why we use this kind of forums.

If you need a private forum for working, just ask moderators (Zerosquare, Azrael or me). We have used private forums too because some 'hot subjects' have gone in flamming forums (JagCF protection, .....)

Great work on the skunkboard ;)

  6. Thank you for the reply and information about building my own cable.

And I don't like Windows PC's either. This is why for my internet stuff, I use a dual G4 Apple Mac ;) playing games on the mac is just Medal of Honor, and the rest I use my Atari Jaguar and Lynx.

But I love my Falcon and would gladly use it a bit more than I do now.

    BJL:

I haven't tried it yet, with the BJL I got a small cd with programs on it, is there also a Falcon compatible program on that cd?

I hope its easy to use...

Perhaps, but if you don't got programs for using it, i can give you them :) You can use BJL ST programs they run nice on Falcon even on CT6x :)

  7. Hello,

I would like to use my BJL on the Jaguar and the Atari Falcon, is this possible?

Because I still don't have a cable yet.

What kind of cable do I need, Parallel to Parallel cross-wired ?

    Hello,

If you want infos about using Falcon with Jaguar ask, i think i am the only coder using a Falcon for Jaguar coding :)
